Musical Theatre Camp

August 18-20 & 25-27, 2020

We will reopen our studios with a special event: an intensive Musical Theatre camp program hosted by our newest teachers: Broadway performers Siri Howard and Max Quinlan.

Siri and Max bring a lifetime of musical theatre experience on the Broadway stage to Dance Centre. They will be regular teachers in our program; this camp is just a sampling of what you will be able to learn from them.

In this two-week camp, students will learn song interpretation, audition techniques, monologues, scenes, and movement through song.

Through this first-ever Dance Centre program you will work up close with these wonderful Broadway professionals to:

Find your own authentic voice
Bridge the gap between vocal, acting, and dance/movement techniques
Learn audition skills, with exclusive tips on how to land the part

Whatever your level of experience, this camp will instill the confidence you need to bring your best self to every piece, and to get a taste of what a career on Broadway might be like!

There will be three sessions, six classes each over two weeks (August 18-20 and 25-27) based on age group. Older students will have more class time:

Ages 6-11: 1:00-2:00pm with Siri: $200
Ages 10-14: 2:00-3:30pm with Siri: $200
Ages 15+: 4:00-6:00pm with Max: $250

>> Special Intensive sequence: Take both the 2-3:30pm class with Siri followed by the 4:00-6:00 class with Max for the discounted rate of $400. Not appropriate for all students; call (631) 898-6860 to discuss eligibility.

All sessions will be conducted at our Westhampton Studio. Masks will be required at all times inside the studio. Teachers may, under controlled circumstances, allow students to unmask while performing provided the remainder of the class is positioned sufficiently far away, at the opposite end of the studio. Teacher instructions regarding masks must be closely followed at all times, or students will be asked to leave the studio.
